Nutrition Consultation and Assessment

• Nutritional consultation and assessment provides a comprehensive analysis of the client's current nutrition, and recommendations to strengthen areas of weakness.
  
  
• An initial 1 hour consultation is done to discuss the client's nutrition information and answer any specific questions the client may have.
  • Diet, age, gender, lifestyle and health status are all considered to determine the current nutritional status and any areas of nutritional weakness.
    
    
• Based on information from the Client Information Form and consultation the client is provided with a comprehensive written assessment of their current nutrition and recommendations for improvement.
• The assessment includes information on the client's nutritional strengths and weaknesses, meal planning, food combining, dietary supplements, and recommendations on how best to promote optimum nutrition.
• Potential side effects and drug-nutrient interactions of any medications are also assessed and discussed.


• Clients are seen at my office at the Health Within Clinic, 8226 196th Ave. NE, Redmond, WA, 98053-7536.
  • Phone consultations are also available at no extra charge for clients who have transportation problems or live outside the Redmond area.

These and other health plans may cover Medical Nutrition Therapy or Counseling when symptoms are related to diet, digestive or metabolism problems. Such symptoms may include food sensitivities, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, morbid obesity, acid reflux, gastrointestinal pain, gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Other conditions may also be covered with preauthorization.
